Inspired by the quiet transformation of surfaces through time, Erosion of Opulence explores the beauty of what lies beneath. I wanted to create the impression of a surface gradually worn away by natural forces, revealing glimpses of gold beneath its pale exterior. The contrast between the smooth white finish and the golden depths gives the work a sense of discovery, as though something precious has slowly emerged. Part of my Living Organism series.
